Looks like I'll be headed to the mall this weekend!

Where do all those coupons come from?!

I hear that question often from friends and family, when asking about my deals...'where do you get all your coupons?' Well there are a few different places...

- Internet Printable Coupons - The main place I get my coupons is online, from websites such as coupons.com or redplum.com. The coupons available change fairly often, and are easy to print from your home computer. Most grocery and drug stores accept printable coupons (but you may want to check with your local stores).

- Sunday Newspaper Inserts - I get a lot of coupons from the Sunday newspaper inserts. Most weeks there are 1 - 4 inserts that have coupons in them...they are usually in the section with all of the weekly advertisements. (I usually grab them from my in-laws' paper, which is a nice freebie!)

- Customer Feedback - This may sound a little strange, but occasionally I will write to a company whose product I really like and ask them for coupons. Most websites have a 'Feedback' or 'Customer Service' page where customers can contact the company. I write saying how much I enjoy the product and ask for them to send me coupons. I've received quite a few coupons, including some for completely free products (free Coffeemate, free Totinos pizza, etc)...and it really takes just a minute to write the company!

- ecoupons - One of my favorite grocery stores is Kroger...mainly because of their Kroger Plus Card. There are several websites, such as Cellfire or Shortcuts that allow you to 'load' electronic coupons right on to your Kroger Card. When you purchase one of these products, the coupon will automatically come off your total when you checkout (and use your Kroger Card). Often, it's a nice little surprise discount when you are checking out :)

The awkward first post...

After months of reading countless money-saving blogs...I've decided to take the plunge and start a blog that highlights deals where I live (Central Kentucky). I have yet to find a blog that targets our area, and there are plenty of great deals to be had. Recently, I've had lots of friends and family asking about my deals, how to get started with couponing, and how I save so much money. So here it is...the blog you've all been waiting for :)
